Instead of giving puppeteers more weapon points, the puppets themselves will have points for weapons. The construction of the puppet determines how many weapon points it has. This is done by totaling up the number of Storage Slots each part of the puppet has. However, the weight of each part must also be kept in mind. A puppeteer must have a combined Power and Reserves stat greater than the total weight of his puppet(s). The puppeteer himself is also limited to 10 weapon points that he may spend on himself, instead of the usual 20.
The puppet's physical stats are taken directly from the user's Chakra stats. Strength, Speed, and Stamina correspond to Power, Control, and Reserves, respectively.
The size of a puppet's chassis effects the puppet greatly. Small chassis increase the puppet's speed by 10, but decrease its strength and stamina by 5 each. Medium chassis have no effect. Large chassis decrease speed by 10, bu increase strength and stamina by 5 each. Finally, a part cannot be mounted on a chassis with a lower size rating than itself. In other words, a Medium head cannot go on a small chassis, nor can Large legs go on a Medium chassis.
A puppet is incapable of gripping weapons on its own, therefore all weapons must be mounted on the puppet. Weapons can only be mounted on or in a part that has the storage slots to support it. Note: Arms may be used together to mount a larger weapon that they would otherwise not be able to carry.
While a puppet is in Henge, it cannot use its own weapons. However, it may hold other weapons while in Henge. For example, kunai mounted in the puppet's head would be unavailable while it is Henge'd. However, the puppet may take kunai from its master and use them as normal.
Puppets may be altered between threads. However, each part that is changed costs one reward point. This is because a certain measure of training must be done with the changed puppet before the master can use it effectively again. Also, weapons may only be changed when the part upon which they are mounted is changed. Therefore, if two arms were attached to a single sword, both arms would have to be changed at once. Note that arms can be mixed and matched, though legs cannot.
For your convenience, we have provided a list of generic puppet parts. Custom parts may be registered, using the form seen below. They should be registered in the weapon registration forum, with all parts being used by a single character being in the same thread.
