Thread Grading System
Grading threads and awarding points is a relatively straightforward affair. Once a thread is completed, each person in the thread will be rated in 4 different areas, namely Technical Quality, Post Quantity/Length, Combat/Roleplaying, and Activity. All of these are graded on a scale of 1-10.
Technical Quality is grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, and the like. It is hard to be taken seriously when one's posts are riddled with technical errors, by making this part of the grading criteria we can both improve member's writing skills as well as look quite a bit more professional to those who might view the site.
Post Quantity/Length is exactly what it sounds like. To avoid people creating numerous small threads to obtain large rewards fast, post quantity and length will be judged.
Combat/Roleplaying has been lumped into one group, and either by themself can result in a full grade in this criteria. In essence, you can get the same grade regardless of whether you have a combat thread or a roleplaying thread, and if you have a bit of both you still have the potential to get the same grade-- it all comes down to post quality.
Activity is a new concept, and one designed to keep people from going MIA. The Activity criteria will look at how often you posted and how long it took you to post, and grade according to how well you kept up the pace.
Four different areas ranging from 1-10 in scores gives us a total of 40 points possible. To determine the number of points to award a character, you will take the final rating and divide it by a number based on the character's rank, and round up all decimals.
Genin: Divide by 20
Chuunin: Divide by 15
Jounin: Divide by 10
This means that no one can complete a thread without at least 1 point in award (though threads that are well short of the standard size should be considered incomplete and thus ungradeable,) and that Genin can recieve 1 or 2 points per thread, Chuunin can recieve 1 to 3 points per thread, and Jounin can recieve 1 to 4 points per thread.
Only one point from each thread may be used to purchase a jutsu, however you may spend your remaining points on stats. Points cannot be saved and must be spent when they are recieved or discarded. However, if you wish to buy a stage in a second or third taijutsu list, please indicate that you wish to do so, and it will be done so accordingly.
If, however, you score a 10 or lower on a thread, the point that you gain from the thread cannot be used to purchase a jutsu.
